Olympic Sailing Coverage

Here’s a view from the hotel window where coaches and athletes have first class accommodation. Toronto Star has the sailing schedule which is every night at 1:00 pm. Opening ceremonies start Friday morning. Times:

Skype works sometimes but signal not that good as all the sailors take up all the bandwith

Practice races for Yngling and Finn – tomorrow their races begin!
Tomorrow I will be in the lobby with a few hundreds people at 6:30 am as we need to get on a bus to go the airport, then catch a flight to Beijing. Should be interesting….Tommy
Today is the first day of the Laser Radial and Lasers. Yesterday I was the 470 men for their first day. They sailed actually pretty good, but the racing is so so tight, bow to stern, 10th is like lengths away.
Opening Ceremonies were quite spectacular.

plenty of butterflies and moths

Plenty of rain this summer means more flowers and lots of butterflies and moths. I’ll have to plant milkweed to attract them to nest.
